Privacy policy
How Chargma collects, uses and protects your data.
1. Data controller
Chargma operates an electric-vehicle charging network in Morocco together with its mobile apps and related services. Chargma is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any question, contact us at privacy@chargma.com.
2. Data we collect
Account data (name, e-mail, phone number, encrypted password); location data, when you allow it, to show you nearby chargers and guide you to them; payment tokens issued by our provider CMI (we never store your full card number); charging history (charger used, duration, energy, amounts billed); technical data (device model, app version, error logs).
3. Purposes of processing
We use your data to create and manage your account, to authorise and bill your charging sessions per minute, to show available chargers nearby, to process payments and refunds, to provide customer support, to prevent fraud and to improve service reliability. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on the performance of the service contract you enter into with us, on your consent (for example for geolocation), on compliance with our legal and accounting obligations, and on our legitimate interest in securing and improving the service.
5. Data sharing
Your data may be shared with our payment provider CMI to process transactions, with the operators of the chargers you use (only as needed for billing), and with technical service providers acting on our behalf under contract. We may also disclose data where required by law.
6. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Charging history and payment records are kept for the period required by Moroccan accounting and tax rules. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Under Law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, you have the right to access, rectify, object to and delete your data. To exercise these rights, write to us at privacy@chargma.com.
8. Compliance — Law 09-08 and the CNDP
Chargma processes personal data in accordance with Moroccan Law 09-08 and under the supervision of the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP). The relevant processing operations are declared to the CNDP as required.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures — encryption of sensitive data, tokenisation of payment methods, access controls — to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or disclosure.
